Sarasota, Fl: Ernest P. Givins Jr. has signed on to be the new head coach of the highly accomplished Minor league football team, The Sarasota Millionaires! As an ex-NFL star, Givins brings a wealth of talent and athletic insight to a team that is notable for their winning spirit! His professional career began as a wide receiver when he was picked by the Houston Oilers in the second round of the NFL 1986 Draft. Nine of Givins’ 10 seasons in the NFL were played with the Oilers which included a two-time selection for the 1990 and 1992 Pro Bowl. He was recognized for his celebration dances after a touchdown in which many passes came through the hands of legendary quarterback, Warren Moon. Givins’ career stats include an impressive 571 receptions, 8,215 receiving yards, and 49 touchdowns.
