Sarasota Millionaires Kick Off Meeting Turnout Was Outstanding...

The Sarasota Millionaires held its annual team informational meeting this past week at USF - University of South Florida Sarasota/Manatee Campus. Their was a huge turnout of interested players that came to listen to what the coaches and staff had to say on how to become a part of the upcoming 2012/2013 season. The meeting consisted of all the rules and regulations of the Sarasota Millionaires as well as player expectations.
Coaches and staff will now look forward to our player combines/workouts scheduled within the coming weeks.

It was the last week of summer camp for the children who attended the Robert L. Taylor summer camp program. The food and nutrition program of Sarasota County had been providing lunch all summer long to students 18yrs old and younger.. no matter if they attended the summer camp program or not.

The food and nutrition program stopped a week before school started so that they could prepare for the start of a new school year. Which left the staff at the Robert L. Taylor summer camp's program searching for local organizations who could step in and fill the void for the week. So when we got a call from Supervisor of Recreation Facilities Arthur Larkins asking if we could help out, we did not hesitate. The Millionaires jumped on board and helped to provide a "healthy lunch" for all 80+ children who were a part of the summer camp and also the other children who were attending the recreational facility that day. The entire summer camp staff were also provided with lunch from the Sarasota Millionaires organization.
"It was a great success and it felt really good to help out. This is our community and if we can help out and give back in any way... then we will" said co-owner Bethsaida Williams.

The Sarasota Millionaires attended the Fifth Annual Florida Football Alliance Awards Banquet and received the top award... The Commissioners Cup!
Commissioner Eddie Starling spoke highly about the organization and was very pleased and honored to present the award. During the presentation the owner of the Miami Bulls stood up and also spoke highly of the Millionaires organization commending us on the things we have done for the community among other things.
The Commissioners Cup is awarded based on how the entire organization is ran as a whole, participating and doing everything above and beyond the rule book.
"The Millionaires are truly honored to receive this award. We strive on excellence and continuing to grow and moving this program in the right direction" said co- owner Bethsaida Williams.

The Sarasota Millionaires also walked away with the "Website Management" award. This is the third straight year the organization has won this award..
